I do see many people with anxiety issues; mostly social anxiety related to self confidence issues but also includes fears and phobias. What is one thing you can do if you do suffer from anxiety issues? Exercise!
Recent finding: Participants in a 12 week exercise program that included a 60 minute training session three times a week, including strength training and aerobic exercises, had improved anxiety levels. Most participants reported going from a moderate or high level of anxiety to a low level. Those that did moderate exercise were three times more likely to report fewer and less severe symptoms of anxiety…and those who exercised strenuously, nearly five times as likely.
What if a simple exercise program done three times a week could improve your anxiety symptoms? Would you do it? I have heard many people say over the years that they suffer from crippling anxiety but would rather take a pill than exercise. Yes, hypnosis can help with less severe levels of anxiety but isn’t it nice to know that you can lower your anxiety level through exercise? (Journal of Affective Disorders, Sweden, 2021)
